For who? For You! Seminary is something that involves everybody that is involved in this site.  Yep, if you are a parent, well there you have it.  Seminary is one of the greatest strengths for youth throughout the week.  It keeps them active and learning more of the gospel.  For the youth, same thing.  You will gain such a greater knowledge of the gospel, and a testimony of such.  Leaders, seminary attendance should be emphasized and encouraged.  & Missionaries, I know you wish you could go back and take it all over again, but you can't.  You can, however, correlate with students and teachers.  Sometimes you may want to get students to ask one of your investigators if they'd like to join them in going to seminary.  This was a great missionary tool where we live.

Today's Topic [Past Lessons] We went over D&C where the lord gave revelation for Emma Smith.  The first 1/2 of this lesson we talked about finding an eternal compannion.  And what we wanted in our future Husband/Wife.  We all wrote those things down and turned them in then Bro. Smith read what we wanted to the class.  It was really cool, I think that some of the students have "raised the bar" in this area as well.  We are looking for the best.  And I think that this is something possible.    You young women, don't ever settle for less, you can have the best.  There are YM who are striving to be that type of person.  And also, please do your best.  Become excited about the gospel! it is a wonderful thing and it can be a great way of life. The second 1/2 covered "a song of the righteous is a prayer unto me" scripture.  So for this he played different types of music and we had to get up there 2 by 2 and act out what it made us feal like doing.  Then he aplied it.  We also setup the music rent-al box where students could 'rent' (destroy)  their bad cds. -10-11-2006- 100 Scripture Masteries

SM Day  In Silver City our CES director introduced plaques for each student that accomplished the 'Advanced Placement' requirements.  (all 100 SM's, the books, and the quorum of the 12)  This is really cool, because it is something that I will always keep, and it will remind me of my work in seminary. Every Seminary day before we start class everybody together reads 5 different scripture masteries.  He said that since he has done this every student has been able to memorize all of that year's scripture masteries.
